The only downside IMO is the price tag 🤑 At over 0 a pair for simple office shoes.. it’s hard for me to justify spending that on multiple colors. Anyway, there’s an amazing dupe on Amazon. I’m guessing Rothy’s didn’t get a patent on their shoes because I can’t tell the difference between my Amazon pair and the brand name I . I have multiple pairs of their sneakers and other shoes. They wash really well! I tried viaia (I think I’m spelling that right) and they weren’t nearly as comfortable, but were advertised as being comparable to Rothy’s. I tried Mia’s on at Nordstrom Rack and they felt very comparable and were much cheaper.
Just a heads up for anyone who loves Rothy's but is considering trying Vivaia. I'm a huge lover of Rothy's. I have many pairs. But lately I've been a bit dismayed about their manufacturing tolerances, or lack thereof. I order the same size and get wildly different sized shoes. Some way too large, laughably so, or way too tight.
I have thin (not narrow) feet, and was encouraged to buy a size 10 at the Rothy’s store. They fit reasonably well after washing, but by the end of the day, they’re sliding off my feet. Unless I leave them with the cardboard insert for 3 days, they just stay too big. I’m guessing that the height is too much for my feet, and the shoes . eta this is for heavy rain. if it’s light rain and your shoes don’t get soaked, that’s usually doable. you’ll likely still want to wash them after. I’ve worn mine while it was raining & even walked through a puddle. My feet got a little wet inside. They dried quickly. I’ve also worn them in snow without issues.
Rothy's Bag Alternative/Dupe. I like the daily crossbody and the new crescent bag (both are zip closures) but I find the price too high. Are there other brands similar to the bags of Rothy's - stylish AND washable. I have checked out Vivaia. Their bags are also washable and stylish but I don't like their bags that have zip closures. I like the . All depends on your feet. I have worn both and prefer the allbirds wool flats because of the (slightly) better support and fit. The Rothy’s are good for rain, plastic so they dry fast. I wouldn’t walk any real distance in either. Merrell sandals are my go to, even tho they’re open toe. I am in need of some comfortable, versatile, good looking shoes. I have been bombarded with ads for Rothy’s for a while via podcasts and such and am almost ready to pull the trigger but we are they expensive! So are they worth it and are you really supposed to size up for optimal fit? Thank you
